⛳ Swinging for a Cause: When Golf Becomes Hope

There’s something powerful about the sound of laughter drifting across a golf course. On October 4th, that sound will mix with the steady rhythm of golf swings and the cheers of teammates as our community comes together for the Southwest Kids Cancer Foundation Golf Tournament at the award-winning Saguaro Course at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club.

But here’s the thing, this tournament isn’t just about golf. It’s about kids. Kids who’ve spent more time in hospitals than on playgrounds. Kids who dream of summer adventures instead of medical appointments. Kids who just want to feel like kids again.

More Than a Game 💛

Every ticket sold, every putt sunk, and every sponsorship raised goes straight to making camp possible. Our summer programs in Northern Arizona are a lifeline for children with cancer and their siblings. At camp, kids don’t have to explain their scars or their treatments, they just get to run, laugh, and build lifelong friendships.

One of our volunteers, Caitlyn, said it best: “It’s really special to see even the shy first-time campers come back with great memories and best friends.” That transformation, the spark in a child’s eyes when they realize they belong, is what this tournament makes possible.

The Impact of Your Swing ✨

When you join us on the course, you’re not just playing golf, you’re writing chapters of joy into a child’s story. You’re giving parents a chance to breathe, siblings a chance to feel seen, and kids facing unimaginable battles the chance to feel free.
