A Summer of Healing & Adventure

Arizona Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks (ACS&S) has been creating life-changing experiences for kids with cancer since 1983. What began as a simple idea — to give children a week of normalcy at summer camp — has grown into a vibrant, supportive community for hundreds of campers and families over the past 40 years.

Camp is a safe and empowering place where pediatric cancer fighters, survivors, and their siblings can express themselves, build confidence, try new adventures, and form lifelong friendships with others who understand their journey.

Our 6-day, overnight camp is held at beautiful Whispering Hope Ranch in Payson, Arizona. Campers enjoy hiking, horseback riding, arts and crafts, STEM activities, a talent show, and the always unforgettable Jell-O war!

ACS&S is proud to be dual-accredited by the American Camp Association and the Children's Oncology Camping Association (COCA), making us one of fewer than 10 camps in the U.S. welcoming both patients and siblings.

Registration is required — join us for a summer you’ll never forget!

Leaders-in-Training

Leaders-in-Training (LIT) is a comprehensive program, offered to AZCS&S teens ages 17 and 18, tailored to nurture campers’ leadership potential while fostering inclusivity. It focuses on teaching essential life skills, such as communication, problem-solving and teamwork. The program incorporates interactive training, outdoor activities, and mentorship opportunities to empower campers to become confident and effective leaders. By embracing diversity and providing support, the LIT program aims to enrich the lives of all participants, helping them develop into capable leaders who can positively impact their communities.
